The HallsHeeler’s Australian Cattle Dog Puppy That Didn’t Make It
Just thought for those that are interested I’d put up the photo of “TOY” the third pup of the litter, a female. She didn’t want to come out and so we had to get a needle for Lady to help her.
You can see by the photo below if you look closely that she actually has a hole in the top of her snout just behind her nose, which is slightly deformed. Like a hairlip for a dog. It was fixable by an operation but then she may have had other issues too so as a reputable and responsible breeder after extensive consultation with the Echuca Vets (3 different vets) we made the call to have her euthanised, by the vet. As you may notice in the first video she was in a lot of pain and she couldn’t suckle properly.
She was born not 5 minutes after Lady had the needle to help her get the last puppies out. We got into the little Toyota HiLux Twin Cab and had no sooner turned the corner 20 metres from the Echuca Vet’s front door when “TOY” was popped out on the floor of the vehicle; hence her name – TOY – from Toyota.
She was a “cleanskin” and had no visible patches except for the black ears from what I can recall.
