The Australian Cattle Dog Puppy That Didn’t Make It

The HallsHeeler’s Australian Cattle Dog Puppy That Didn’t Make It

Just thought for those that are interested I’d put up the photo of “TOY” the third pup of the litter, a female. She didn’t want to come out and so we had to get a needle for Lady to help her.

You can see by the photo below if you look closely that she actually has a hole in the top of her snout just behind her nose, which is slightly deformed. Like a hairlip for a dog. It was fixable by an operation but then she may have had other issues too so as a reputable and responsible breeder after extensive¬†consultation¬†with the Echuca Vets (3 different vets) we made the call to have her euthanised, by the vet. As you may notice in the first video she was in a lot of pain and she couldn’t suckle properly.

Australian Cattle Dog puppy - Toy

HallsHeeler Australian Cattle Dog female puppy #3 – TOY in a warm place.

She was born not 5 minutes after Lady had the needle to help her get the last puppies out. We got into the little Toyota HiLux Twin Cab and had no sooner turned the corner 20 metres from the Echuca Vet’s front door when “TOY” was popped out on the floor of the vehicle; hence her name – TOY – from Toyota.

She was a “cleanskin” and had no visible patches except for the black ears from what I can recall.

RIP TOY

HallsHeelers Australian Cattle Dogs On The Net

FINALLY! HallsHeeler’s Australian Cattle Dogs in Echuca are On The Net.

Albeit this is the first post of many more about our 1st love … the Australian Cattle Dog … we hope to keep you informed about our Blue Heelers whom some refer to as Queensland Heelers but are properly known as Blue Australian Cattle Dogs.

We don’t breed anything but Blue Australian Cattle Dogs so don’t expect to find any Red Heelers, Red Queensland Heelers or Red Australian Cattle Dogs here. We specialise in only Blue Australian Cattle Dogs. Make sure you check out our Blue Australian Cattle Dog Puppies too.

Now we are clear on that … let me get the rest of our site set up.

May I suggest you subscribe to our RSS feed to automagically find out when we add new posts to this our main blog.

You will also find more info in our soon to be launched detailed website at www.HallsHeelers.com.au – a work in progress. Also you will find videos of our puppies and their families at www.HallsHeelers.tv — coming soon.

Sincerely
Stan
